Because when something feels off, your instinct is to fix it.

There’s a specific kind of tension I see in ambitious mothers, particularly in the months after they return to the workplace.

You’re back.
Delivering.
Capable.

But something isn’t clicking, and you can’t quite explain why.

Motherhood changes you.

Most of us were never given language to explain how much.

Not just practically.
Internally.

It shifts how you think, how you feel, what you prioritise, how you see yourself.

And how the world sees you.

But proving you still “have it” isn’t the same as leading from who you are now.

Somewhere along the way, ‘having it all’ turned into holding it all.

And no one warned you what it would cost.

You were never meant to juggle it all.
You were just told you should.
And because you could, you did.

Until coping started

Foggy head. Full brain. Half-finished thoughts running in the background like tabs that never fully close.

You keep circling that same decision, feeling indecisive - like you should have done it by now.

But how can you? It’s never had your fu

You didn’t snap because of the peanut butter toast on the wall.

Or when the call ran over and you had to hotfoot it to nursery with two minutes to spare.
